Saudi woman caught husband molesting the maid #SaudiWomanCatchesHusbandCheating

A Saudi woman may face going to jail after she caught her husband cheating with the family maid and posted it on social media.

The woman used a hidden camera to catch her husband in the act, but despite his proven infidelity, she may be the one who ends up being punished.

The video, which she uploaded to YouTube, shows the man forcing himself on one of the family's members of staff, while the maid appears to attempt to resist his advances.

The man can be seen talking to the maid, with a second woman, believed to be another maid, also seen walking around in the kitchen.

He then proceeds to kiss the maid with his back turned to the camera, as she appears to try to escape his clutches.

The wife uploaded the clip online, captioning it: 'the minimum punishment for this husband is to scandalise him,' Emirates 24/7 reports.

It has since spread on social media in the gulf states, with the #SaudiWomanCatchesHusbandCheating becoming the top trending hashtag, with more than 25,000 mentions in 12 hours.

However, the success of the shaming video may backfire on the wife, a prominent Saudi lawyer has warned.

'She faces up to one year in prison or a fine of SR500,000 (£87,214) for defaming her husband in line with the law on information technology crimes,' lawyer Majid Qaroob told a local newspaper.

'This law includes stiff punishment for anyone using mobile phones with camera or other equipment to photograph others and defame them,' he said.
