PSG close in on Manchester United winger Angel di Maria
Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay £43million for Manchester United winger Angel di Maria and hope to have him on their own US tour.
The French champions, who are due to face United in Chicago on July 29, have already outlined a five-year contract to match Di Maria's personal terms at Old Trafford but crucially what remains is whether United consent to the deal.
Di Maria joined United for £59.7million last year but has struggled after being dropped from the team and enduring a break-in at his Cheshire home.
He is due to join up with his United team-mates on tour alongside Marcos Rojo following the pair's involvement in the Copa America.
He has stated that he is willing to try again to make a success of his time at United, however, he is keen on the move to Paris.
PSG are awaiting a response from Tottenham midfielder Benjamin Stambouli also. The Frenchman is the subject of a £6m bid but had been discussing a move to Watford.
If he joins PSG, he would count as homegrown and be a part of the club’s eight-man quota for the Champions League squad.
