No Fenerbahce deal for Van Persie – agent

Robin van Persie’s agent has denied reports that the striker is close to agreeing a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Over the weekend it was reported that Kees Vos had been in Turkey to finalise a deal that would see the 31-year-old leave Manchester United.

However, the striker reported for the first day of pre-season training on Monday with his advisor playing down claims that he is nearing a move to Fenerbahce.
“If Robin had found a new club, we would have announced it,” Vos told Voetball International.

“All I can say is that, Robin will be back at Manchester United to report for the first training session.”
