Angel Di Maria to stay at Manchester United

Angel Di Maria insists he will be at Manchester United next season despite struggling in his first year in the Premier League.

The £60mllion club record signing made a positive start to his United career only for his form to dip as the season progressed.

His struggles combined with good displays from Juan Mata and Ashley Young meant Di Maria did not start a Premier League game in the final two months of the season, leading to speculation that he would be one his way out of Old Trafford in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have both been linked with the Argentina international, but Di Maria has no plans to leave United.
“I have just finished my first season playing for Manchester United,” Di Maria explained.

“Now I will play the Copa America and then I will move back to Manchester for next season and do my best there.

“It was a hard season for me. I think it was hard because it was another country and another league, and this league is harder than the Spanish one.

“So, I couldn’t adapt myself as I wanted to. La Liga and the Premier League are completely different. The Premier League is physically stronger.

“It was not easy at all. I ended playing few minutes.”
