Manchester United revive interest in Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi
Manchester United have revived interest in Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
The Spanish side have little wish to sell but much will depend on this weekend's crucial game with relegation-threatened Almeria.
Valencia need to win to secure their Champions League qualifying berth and the chance of much-needed revenue. Should they fail and Sevilla pip them then they will be under pressure to sell one of their big names.
Otamendi was a target for United while at Porto and has excelled this season for Valencia. The Argentine is a combative character with a no-nonsense style and has established himself as a firm fans favourite.
His buy-out clause is set at £36million and Valencia would insist on that fee.
