Wenger wants Theo Walcott to stay at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger believes Theo Walcott has a great future in front of him and is hopeful he will extend his Arsenal career.
Arsenal are ready to open contract talks with the England international in a bid to stave off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Walcott missed the first half of the season as he recovered from a cruciate knee ligament injury and he has struggled to retain a regular starting place since returning, making just eight Premier League appearances.
Despite his struggles, Wenger believes the player has a bright future and is keen to keep him at the Emirates.
