Gun-wielding hoodlums on rampage in Lagos

Hoodlums wielding guns, axes, matchetes and other dangerous weapons have gone on rampage in the Oshodi, Mushin, Maryland and Costain areas of Lagos State, Nigeria’s south-west region.
Commercial vehicle drivers are reported to have discharged their passengers and driven off in fear, causing gridlock in the process.

Traders at Oshodi were also said to have hurriedly shut their shops and fled as the hoodlums shot sporadically.

The cause of the mayhem is not clear at this time.
