Thierry Henry hits out at Arsenal fans who abuse Arsene Wenger

Thierry Henry has hit out at the small group of Arsenal fans who verbally abused manager Arsene Wenger following their loss at Stoke City.

The Frenchman was booed by Arsenal supporters as he waited to board a train at Stoke-on-Trent station after his team conceded three times in the first 45 minutes at the Britannia Stadium.

Wenger played down the incident, but Henry believes supporters were wrong to direct their anger towards the manager.
“I thought it was a joke,” Henry said. “You can be upset, I totally understand that. But when I saw what happened at Stoke I was like, ‘that’s totally unnecessary’.

“Fans do have a voice, I totally understand that, but what I saw after the Stoke City game was out of order.

“You can express that you are upset, but to do it in that way was a bit too much.

“But in the game at the moment, unfortunately that’s the way it is.”
