Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo joins Crystal Palace on loan

Yaya Sanogo has joined Crystal Palace on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Arsenal striker has made just six appearances for the Gunners this season and it is hoped he will gain more first-team experience by moving to the Eagles on a six-month loan deal.
“When the Arsenal manager spoke with me about Crystal Palace I was very happy because I want to play more games,” Sanogo told the Crystal Palace website.

“I think Palace are a good team, I watched the game against Tottenham and it was a great performance from the guys. I hope I can help the club have a successful second half of the season.”
The 21-year-old becomes Alan Pardew’s first signing since returning to Selhurst Park and he is looking forward to working with the striker.
“He’s a young player with tremendous promise, somebody that I have tracked personally and this club has too so that fitted well,” Pardew said.

“We have given him an opportunity, he needs to play more games and I think he’s ready for that and he proved that at Arsenal. It’s tough to get in their team but he’s closer to the starting action with us.”
Sanogo joined Arsenal from Auxerre at the start of last season and was part of the Gunners side that won the FA Cup in May.
