'Chelsea is unstoppable' - Wenger concedes Premier League title

Arsene Wenger has conceded the Premier League title is Chelsea’s to lose by predicting Jose Mourinho’s team will end the season with over 100 points.

Chelsea are unbeaten in their first 11 matches this season and they are currently four points clear of second-place Southampton, with Manchester City a further four points adrift.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are 12 points behind their London rivals after slipping to a second defeat of the season away to Swansea.

With the majority of the title contenders struggling for consistency, Wenger believes no team will catch Chelsea and the Frenchman has tipped them to end the season with over 100 points.
“At the moment Chelsea are on course for 100 points this season. If you look at the number of points they have, if they keep that up nobody will catch them, that’s for sure,” Wenger told reporters.

“There doesn’t look to be anybody capable to challenge them at the moment.

“They had a good start, and we have gone through that [in the past], as long as you don’t lose, you don’t question yourself, there is a little bit extra spirit in the team that, when it is tight, gets them through.”
Arsenal threw away a 3-0 lead over Anderlecht in the Champions League before Swansea came from a goal down to record a 2-1 win at the Liberty Stadium.
“We have different worries than that [the gap to the top], we lost a game we really shouldn’t have lost,” Wenger said.

“We have to live in the realistic world. In football you have to win the games you can win and today was one. If you want to challenge for the Premier League you have to be a bit more realistic than we were today.”
