Acting Police IG, Suleiman Abba confirmed as Inspector General of Police
The appointment of Suleiman Abba as the Inspector General of Police has been confirmed by the Nigeria Police Council headed by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The appointment of the Police Chief who has come under heavy criticisms over his recent withdrawal of police officers attached to Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, the Speaker of House of Representatives following the latter’s defection from Peoples Democratic Party to the main opposition All Progressives Congress was confirmed at Tuesday’s meeting of Council of State and he was thereafter admitted into the Council.
Abba was appointed the acting IGP on August following the retirement of Mohammed Abubakar.
He is Nigeria’s 17th indigenous police chief.

It's not a big deal but he must respect constituted authority.
