3 crew members died in military helicopter crash in Yola
A Nigerian Air Forces helicopter that crashed last night around the premises of the Federal University of Technology in Yola has killed all three crew members on board.
A statement Defence Information said that a ground helicopter belonging to the Nigeria Airforce crashed some 200 kilometers from the war theater where Nigerian troops have been battling Islamist insurgents crashed a few minutes after takeoff.
The latest chopper crash is the second in the last 72 hours.
The first being a Shark 23 helicopter reportedly on a training mission which crash-landed near the Yola International airport without any report of casualty.
