Di Maria wants to leave Real Madrid - Ancelotti

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira have both asked to leave the club.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in signing Di Maria, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu following the arrivals of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, while Khedira has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Both players have rejected the opportunity to extend their contracts with the Champions League winners with Ancelotti revealing Di Maria has expressed a desire to leave the club.
“Di Maria asked to go in the summer and has rejected an offer from the club,” Ancelotti told reporters.

“The player has to look for a solution. If when the (transfer) market closes he’s still here, he will work with us like last season and there will be no problem.”

“He’s a Real Madrid player and until August 31, as I’ve already said, anything can happen.”
While Di Maria has asked for a transfer, Khedira has yet to hand in a request.
“It’s a different situation to Di Maria. He’s not asked to go. He’s rejected an offer to renew, but has a year of contract. We’ll see what happens.”
