Romelu Lukaku looking to leave Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he may look to leave Chelsea again this summer – only this time on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons on-loan at West Brom and Everton and has had hugely successful campaigns with both sides.

The striker hoped to return to Stamford Bridge to challenge for a starting place this summer but with the imminent arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, Lukaku feels it may be time to move on.
“You know Chelsea: every year they buy a new top striker,” he said. “I remember me coming into the dressing room last year and seeing Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba and going: ‘Whoah! What’s happening here?’

“But no problem. Many clubs are interested in me and at this stage I have to look to myself.

“I have to play a good World Cup. That’s very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer, and I must be one of them. Chelsea know my point of view.”
The former Anderlecht man will have no shortage of suitors due to his goalscoring exploits in the Premier League and a prolific World Cup may see some of Europe’s top clubs join the chase.
