Police arrest commercial motorcyclist for raping female passenger

The Abia State Police Command says it has arrested a man for allegedly raping a female passenger who boarded his bike late in the night.

Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim, who said this in a statement, added that the incident took place around 9pm at the Ntigha area of the state.

According to the police, the female passenger boarded the bike at Ntigha Junction and was heading for Umukalu Ntigha.

They said the motorcyclist, however, diverted her to a farm on the way where he allegedly raped her.

The police said the randy suspect also dispossessed the victim of N850 after raping her.

The suspect, according to police, will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are over.
