Mourinho confident of completing Diego Costa deal

Jose Mourinho is confident Diego Costa will be a Chelsea player next season after setting his sights on the Atletico Madrid striker.

It has been reported that the Blues have already agreed a deal for the Spanish international and Mourinho confirmed that he believes a deal will soon be done for the Brazilian-born striker.
“Costa is a player who I want to have in my team. I’ve asked my club for him and I have total confidence that we’re going to achieve it and he will end up signing for Chelsea,” Mourinho told Spanish newspaper Marca.
Chelsea, who missed out on a trophy last season, have already signed Cesc Fabregas as well as completing the sale of David Luiz to PSG as the Special One looks to rebuild his squad.

It is expected that a number of other first team players will leave Stamford Bridge during the summer, but Mourinho is adamant that Ramires is going nowhere.
“Ramires is staying at Chelsea, he’s not for sale,” said Mourinho.

“I have a great relationship with important people at Real Madrid and they know that Ramires is going to stay at Chelsea.”
Mourinho, who left Madrid last summer to return to Chelsea, also confirmed that he will not be returning to his old club for any of their players.
“They (Real Madrid) know that Ramires isn’t going, but they also know that I’m not interested in any Real Madrid player. (Raphael) Varane and (Sami) Khedira? I repeat that I’m not interested in any Madrid player, full stop,” he added.
