Everton open talks with Chelsea over deal for Romelu Lukaku

Everton have opened talks with Chelsea over another deal for Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian has been offered to Atletico Madrid and has around six other clubs interested.

Lukaku, 21, is with the Belgium World Cup squad who have been tipped to be the tournament's dark horses.

The striker scored a hat-trick in his nation's first World Cup warm-up, a 5-1 win against Luxembourg, and another goal in the 2-0 win against Sweden.

Speaking earlier this week to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, Lukaku said he wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge.
'It would be nice to get clarity beforehand, but that will not happen, so I'm completely focused on the World Cup,' he said.

'You know, I still have a two-year contract at the biggest club in England, because that's Chelsea. So I still hope to play there. Chelsea have a good coach.'
Lukaku scored 15 Premier League goals for the Toffees last season.
