Arsenal in talks with transfer targets - Gazidis
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis says the club are in talks with several transfer targets and he is confident that they can bring in new names this summer.
Arsene Wenger’s side led the Premier League for much of the season before fading badly in the latter stages. However, they ended a nine-year wait for silverware with victory in the FA Cup.
Wenger reportedly has a sizeable war chest with which to add to his squad and the Gunners have already been linked with several players across Europe.
Among the names mentioned are former captain Cesc Fabregas who looks set to leave Barcelona this summer. Arsenal are rumoured to have an option on the Spanish midfielder, but both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested as well.
Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier is another name rumoured to be on Wenger’s list, along Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Inter Milan’s Mario Balotelli.

“Transfers are obviously important and we are deep in conversations already. I am confident we will add what we need this summer,” Gazidis told a supporters’ question and answer session.
“The manager is not scared to spend, has the experience, but as always will have to juggle a set budget.
“We are all really pleased with securing Champions League qualification again. Last season was a great experience for players to win the FA Cup and now we want more.”
