Ryan Giggs appointed interim Manchester United manager

Manchester United have confirmed that Ryan Giggs has been appointed interim manager after David Moyes was sacked on Tuesday morning.
A club statement said: “Following the departure of David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent appointment can be made.

“The club will make no further comment on this process until it is concluded.”
United, who have failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in almost 20 years, currently sit seventh in the Premier League table with four games remaining.

Their next match sees them welcome Norwich to Old Trafford on Saturday.
