Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger not giving up on title

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal will continue fighting for the Premier League title until it is no longer mathematically possible for them to win.

The Gunners have managed just one win in their last five Premier League games to leave them fourth in the table, seven points adrift of leaders Liverpool with six games remaining.

The heavy defeat to Chelsea appeared to signal the end of the title challenge but, while he concedes they are outsiders, Wenger is refusing to give up.
“I still think yes because you don’t want to give up as long as you have a mathematical chance,” Wenger replied when asked if his side still have a chance of winning the title.

“We are certainly out-out-outsiders now. We have a small percentage to do it but with this you have to give everything to make it possible.

“We know that every game becomes vital. We came out with a strong performance against Manchester City and I think we have turned a corner.

“All the teams at the top are in danger everywhere, especially when you play teams who fight not to go down.”
Arsenal face Everton on Sunday looking to extend their advantage over the Toffees to seven points.
