Lagos boat accident claims 13 lives

13 persons have been confirmed dead and 6 others rescued after a boat capsized last night in Lagos according to emergency rescue officials.

The boat reportedly capsized at the 4th Avenue, opposite 41 Road in Festac at about 11 PM and a distress call was sent to the Navy and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) asking for rescue.

NEMA claims six people have been rescued from the boat while emergency rescue workers are still trying to save 5 others.
