"West Brom deserved a point, ...we were not strong enough to kill the game" - Mourinho
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho conceded West Brom fully deserved to take a point from their Premier League tie at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night.
The Blues went ahead courtesy of Branislav Ivanovic’s first half strike, but they were unable to consolidate their advantage and were made to pay in the latter stages as Victor Anichebe headed home for an equaliser.
Victory would have given Mourinho’s me a four-point cushion at the top of the Premier League, but they could find themselves knocked off top spot if Arsenal or Manchester City prevails on Wednesday evening.
Mourinho was frank in his assessment of his side’s performance by claiming the Baggies deserved their point at The Hawthorns.

Mourinho said: 'We were comfortable in the game, maybe too comfortable. We didn't kill the game when we had the chance.
'For 60 minutes the game was completely in our hands, West Brom didn't put one foot in our box. In the first half we had complete control without creating many chances, but complete control. Petr (Cech) not one save, their strikers not one shot, everything in control, waiting for spaces.
'It opened in the second half, but we were not strong enough to kill the game.
'A ready team, a complete team, kills this game. 2-0, goodbye. We didn't. They had a reaction and we couldn't cope with the reaction. In the last 20 minutes they put us under pressure and they scored a goal as a consequence. Maybe they deserved that point. A point is a point and at the end of the season we will see.'
