Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign Hamburg wonderkid Hakan Calhanoglu

 

According to SportsMail, Arsenal will test Hamburg’s resolve to keep young midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu with an offer next month.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on the Turkish star following his success in the Bundesliga, scoring four goals in 15 games this term and establishing himself in the first XI.

However, the Germans could struggle to hold onto the young gun if Arsenal make a bid in the January window.

They face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool for his signature, with Brendan Rodgers also a big fan of the 19-year-old.
