Sir Alex Ferguson backs David Moyes to succeed at Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson has no interest in returning to management and is confident David Moyes will turn things around at Manchester United.

Ferguson retired at the end of last season but his former side have struggled to adjust to life after the Scot, winning just two of their opening six Premier League games.

The slump has left United in the bottom half of the table and with Moyes under increasing pressure, it has been suggested that Ferguson could return to the helm, but he has made it clear that is not a possibility.
“I’m not interested in managing again or getting myself worked up about Manchester United’s results,” Ferguson told US TV network PBS.
“You would be throwing your money down the drain if you put any money on me coming back as a manager.”
Ferguson was pivotal in Moyes becoming United manager and despite the poor start to the season, he is in no doubt that his successor is the right man for the job.
“United are in good hands with David Moyes. He will be fine. He’s a good manager,” Ferguson declared.
After guiding United to 13 Premier League titles and two European Cups, Ferguson decided the time was right to step down and he stands by his decision to retire.
“I made my decision. The timing was perfect. There is no way back for me now. I’ve got a new life,” he added.

“I want to go to the Kentucky Derby and the US Masters, the Melbourne Cup. I want to visit vineyards in Tuscany and France.”

Story, story, story! Moyes lacks the winning mentality and motivation power to make an impact ...yet! Maybe in 3 or 4 more seasons LOL
