Mesut Ozil fit for Arsenal’s clash with Norwich

Mesut Ozil has been passed fit for Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Norwich on Saturday.

Ozil limped out of Germany’s World Cup qualifying victory over Sweden on Tuesday night and was considered a doubt for the visit of the Canaries.

He has since proved his fitness and is included in the squad along with Bacary Sagna and Santi Cazorla.

“Ozil, Sagna and Cazorla are all fit. Everybody else looks fit and ready,” Wenger told reports at his pre-match press conference.

Cazorla returned to full training during the international break but Wenger admits he is short of match fitness and he will not make a decision on his participation until Saturday.

“Cazorla is available in training, but he is not match-fit. It is just about competitiveness with him,” he told Arsenal Player.

“There is a possibility both are in the squad for Saturday. I have not decided whether they will start or not.”

Looking ahead to the clash with Chris Hughton’s side, Wenger added: “We want to switch on and play in an efficient way. Every single game is a potential danger for every team in the league.

“Norwich are a dangerous team. They have a good midfield technically and they showed that against Chelsea.”
