Jose Mourinho charged with improper conduct

Jose Mourinho has been charged by the Football Association for his behaviour in Chelsea’s win over Cardiff at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Mourinho was sent to the stands by referee Anthony Taylor after protesting about apparent time-wasting from his side after he had earlier complained about Cardiff’s tactics.

The Portuguese manager has until 18.00 on October 24th to respond to the charge after he was made sit with supporters for the final 20 minutes of the game.

“I don’t know why the referee stopped me doing my work,” the Portuguese said before the charge was announced.

“To be with the fans was not funny,” Mourinho said in Dusseldorf airport ahead Tuesdays Champions League game against Schalke.

“It is frustrating. You want to communicate with the players and you couldn’t do it,” he continued.
