#TransferDeadlineDay: PSG in talks with Chelsea for Juan Mata

Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with Chelsea over a late move for Spanish playmaker Juan Mata, according to reports in France.

The big-spending Ligue 1 club have already splashed out nearly £100million this summer on Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos, but are looking for a replacement for Javier Pastore.

Mata has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, despite winning the club's player of the year in each of his two seasons in west London, and L'Equipe claim that PSG are now on red alert for the Spaniard.

The move for Mata could free up space for Pastore to leave the French club - the Argentine was booed off by his own fans at the weekend.

And in a remarkable triangle of transfers, Arsenal are believed to have enquired for the 24-year-old.

He joined PSG for £33.7million in 2011 but has fallen out of favour recently and is yet to score this season. It is believed that other English clubs have made contact about his availability, but the midfielder would like to stay in France.
