Juventus step up bid for Manchester United prospect Adnan Januzaj

Juventus have stepped up their interest in Manchester United prospect Adnan Januzaj and made it clear they want to open talks about signing him in the New Year.

It was revealed earlier this month that the Serie A giants were planning to plunder Old Trafford's stock of teenage talent for a second time, after they lured Paul Pogba to Turin, despite Sir Alex Ferguson's best efforts to tie him to a new long-term deal.

Now Ferguson's successor David Moyes is facing a repeat scenario after Juve targeted Januzaj and sent out a signal they intend exploiting his contract stand-off with United.

According to Sportsmail, word has reached Januzaj's agent that Juventus coach Antonio Conte wants to adds the 18-year old to his title-winning squad and is eager to begin contract negotiations as soon as possible.

That could be in a matter of months, unless United can come up with a package that is acceptable to the Belgian teenager and persuades him to end a deadlock over his future that has lasted since April.

  1. When Fergie couldnt hold on to Pogba, how are we sure Moyes can hold on to this prospect. I fear for United under Moyes :(
