Gov. Fashola’s father, Late Ademola Fashola laid to rest

The remains of Ademola Fashola, 80, father of Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola were laid to rest at 3.45 pm Tuesday, at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Pa Fashola died on Monday morning and is survived by a widow, children, grand children and great grand children.

Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island before he was taken to the Vaults and Gardens for burial.


Earlier in the day, the remains of Pa Fashola laid in state at his residence at Ladipo Labinjo Street, Surulere where sympathisers paid their last respects.

Governor Fashola in a brief intrview after the burial described his father as his best friend. He said late Pa Fashola was a liberal moslem who allowed and encouraged his children to be whatever they wanted to be. This, he said explains why there are Christians and Moslem’s in the family.
