Senator Pius Ewerhido is dead

Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Pius Ewherido has died.

50-years-old Pius Ewherido, was a member of the Nigeria House of Representatives between May 1999 and May 2007. He was elected Senator for Delta Central in the April 2011 national elections, running on the Democratic People’s Party (DPP) platform.

According to Sahara Reporters,

"The senator fell down three days ago and collapsed at his Abuja home while making a phone call and had been hospitalized at the National Hospital Abuja in preparation for treatment in Germany when he suddenly collapsed and died in hospital today."
