Laurent Koscielny threatens to leave Arsenal

Laurent Koscielny has threatened to quit Arsenal if the club do not start winning trophies.

The Gunners’ dismal potless streak goes back to their 2005 FA Cup victory.

Koscielny, 27, has been linked with a £15million move to Champions League winners Bayern Munich.

And he said: “It is hard to not win titles year after year. We are competitors, professionals, we want to win.

“I want to add to my list of achievements. If Arsenal cannot allow me that, I’ll seek a move elsewhere.”

The defender’s rock-solid performances were key to Arsenal’s charge to fourth spot.

They secured the final Champions League place with victory at Newcastle on the last day of the season.

And Koscielny added: “If we have ambition to fight against the other teams of course I want to stay here.

“It’s hard psychologically. We are constantly pressured because if Arsenal is not in the Champions League it would be a catastrophe.”
