Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere set to return from injury
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to give Arsene Wenger a boost by declaring himself fit for pre-season on July 4th.
Wilshere played only a bit part in Arsenals games at the end of last season as he struggled with an ankle injury.
But the midfielder underwent surgery at the end of last season to replace screws in his ankle, which proved to be a success and it now looks likely he will be fit to take a full part in The Gunners pre-season campaign.
The plan is to take the 21-year-old on the club’s pre-season tour to south-east Asia and he will then be ready for the start of the Premier League campaign in August.
The news will also come as a huge relief to England manager Roy Hodgson who admitted that his side have missed Wilshere’s creative presence and his return to full fitness would be a massive boost to their faltering World Cup qualifying campaign.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has set his sights on Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain and Everton’s Marouane Fellani as he looks to get in top class reinforcements in a bid to end Arsenal’s eight year trophy drought.
