Crystal Palace wants Manchester United bound Wilfried Zaha for one more season

Crystal Palace are keen to hold on to Wilfried Zaha for their return to the Premier League and will speak to Manchester United about a possible loan deal.

Zaha signed for United in the January transfer window but was immediately loaned back to Palace and he played a key role in helping Ian Holloway’s side secure promotion to the top flight.

While, he is due to link up with his new club over the summer, Palace have confirmed they will be speaking to United about a possible season-long loan deal.

“They might want him to gain experience playing in the Premier League for us, rather than maybe not playing for them,” Palace’s co-chairman Martin Long told Sky Sports News. “We probably will ask.”

Zaha won the penalty that secured Palace a 1-0 win over Watford in the Championship play-off final and he is excited at the prospect of playing in the Premier League next season.

“It is a challenge I am looking forward to, Premier League football,” Zaha said.

“I am just happy I am there and going to the best team so I am happy.”
