Barcelona, Real Madrid & Chelsea in race to sign £50m-rated Neymar

Neymar's father and agent has fired the starting pistol for one of the biggest transfer scrambles of recent times after admitting Santos’ Brazil forward will head for Europe next year.

Neymar Snr said: ‘My son will close a chapter in his life after playing in the World Cup here and will then leave for Europe.’


Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea lead the £50million chase for the 21-year-old, with the Nou Camp his likely destination.

‘Neymar is Barcelona’s top choice, and I’m currently attending all Santos’ games,’ said Barca’s transfer negotiator Andre Cury. ‘When they are willing to sell, we are ready to talk.’
