Senate President, David Mark's controversial wedding gift to Tuface & Annie Idibia

Senate President, David Mark reportedly gives Tuface and Annie Idiab a Chevy Corvette (Price range: $49,600 - $111,600 or N7.8m - N17.7m) as wedding gift.

However, Senate President, David Mark, has denied giving any car to the award winning musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, and his wife, Annie, as a wedding gift.

Interestingly, the card on the car clearly says "wedding gift from Senator David Mark".

In a statement by his spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the senate president said he did not give a Ferrari car or any other to the musician.

Senator Mark did not visit Dubai for Tuface wedding rather he attended the 128th Inter parliamentary Union (IPU) conference currently holding in Quito, Ecuador. He was also not represented at Mr. Idibia's wedding.

It is also instructive to state that the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician or his wife. Who made the donation on behalf of the President of the Senate?

It is therefore a puerile lie for anybody to state that Senator Mark bought a Ferrari car worth N47m for Tuface. The allegation is wicked, ridiculous and irresponsible.

Both Tuface and Mr. Mark are Idoma from Benue State.

Pictures of the Ferrari exhibited by the couple at the ceremony have been circulated on social media sites. Clearly attached to the car was a statement saying it was donated by the senate president.
