Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure denies PSG link
Manchester City’s Yaya Toure has denied reports he is planning to join Paris Saint Germain at the end of the current season.
Toure’s contract with City runs until 2015 but his agent has suggested the midfielder is prepared to walk away from the Etihad Stadium if the club fail to offer him a new deal.
His comments prompted a flurry of speculation over where Toure would end up if he were to leave City with Paris Saint Germain top of the list.
Toure, however, insists joining the Ligue 1 outfit has not crossed his mind, although he has refused to confirm he will remain with City beyond the end of the current campaign.
“No, I don’t think of PSG,” Toure newspaper Sport-Ivoire.
“You know that with the approach of the transfer window, there are many things that are said in the newspapers.
“We are professional and so far I have not given any agreement with any club. I am for the moment a City player and I will fight so that we finish the season in good conditions.
“In a club there are players and administrators. We are like soldiers and we carry out what employers say.
“The most important thing for me is to continue to have fun and to entertain the public.”
