No Arsenal return for Thierry Henry
Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility of signing Thierry Henry on loan during the January transfer window.
Henry spent eight years at Arsenal before moving to Barcelona in 2007 but returned to the Emirates on loan last year, making four appearances and extending his club record goal tally to 228.
Having returned to train with Arsenal during the MLS off-season it was reported that he would re-sign for the Gunners in January but Wenger insists he has no plans to bring in the Frenchman.
“He is not ready, he has just come back from holiday anyway. At the moment, we are not on that case,” Wenger said.
When pressed on whether a move would still happen, Wenger added: “No.”
Indeed, the manager confirmed that the striker was no longer training with Arsenal.
“I think he goes away somewhere,” he revealed after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.
