Mario Balotelli completes move from Manchester City to AC Milan
Mario Balotelli has completed his move from Manchester City to AC Milan.
Balotelli travelled to Italy on Wednesday to undergo a medical with the Serie A giants and he finalised his four-and-a-half year deal on transfer deadline day, bringing to an end a three-year stay at Manchester City.
“AC Milan announces that it has acquired Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli, who has signed a contract until 30 June 2017,” a statement on the Rossoneri’s website confirmed.
The Italian made 80 appearances for the Blues, scoring 30 goals and he paid an emotional tribute to the club’s fans and players as he completed his move to Milan.
“For sure I will remember my brilliant team-mates, the manager and all the supporters. They are the best, they were great with me and I will always have a very special place in my heart for City, it’s a great club with a great future,” he declared on City’s official website.
“I thank them for all of their support of me. Maybe one day we will see each other again.
“I think to win the Premier League was a very special moment, and I am proud to have been a part of that.”
“I will always be interested in Manchester City and their fortunes. I really hope that City can win the league again this year and beat United. I think there are great players at the Club and a great manager too. The club will be very successful in the future and that makes me happy.”
