Chelsea defender John Terry's knee injury is ‘complicated'; ...return date unclear!

Terry looked to have sustained serious knee ligament damage when he accidentally collided with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez during the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge last month, but scans revealed the injury was not as bad as first feared and initial estimates put his recovery at only a couple of weeks.
The recovery did not progress as quickly as expected and the club captain was forced to stay behind for treatment as the rest of the squad travelled to Japan for the Club World Cup.
He was photographed at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Tuesday but Benitez has warned that his return could still be some way off.
“With John Terry, the knee is quite complicated, sometimes it is going well, but the day after we have to wait a little bit,” Benitez told reporters ahead of Wednesday’s Capital One Cup quarter-final against Leeds.
“He is closer but I can’t say how close. It is getting better.”
Since Terry last played for Chelsea the club have crashed out of the Champions League, parted company with manager Roberto Di Matteo, lost the Club World Cup final as well slipping 13 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League.
