Arsenal lines up move for Croatia Under-17 sensation Ante Roguljic

Arsenal are lining up a move for Croatia Under-17 star Ante Roguljic.

Emirates boss Arsene Wenger is ready to pay £1.5million for the attacking midfielder, 16, who plays at NK Adriatic Split.

Roguljic competed for Croatia under-17's earlier this year as the Balkan nation began the long road to qualification for the European under-17 Championship in Slovakia in 2013.

And Roguljic impressed last month as Croatia won all three of their qualifiers. The 16-year-old started all three matches, scoring in two.Roguljic is not the only Croatian starlet tipped for the big time. His international compatriot Alen Halilovic has been the subject of many Premier League club's scouting missions this year.

The 16-year-old has been compared to Lionel Messi and Luka Modric, and Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all thought to be interested in the youngster.
