Manchester United eyes Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender
The 23-year-old has broken into the Germany side over the past year with a series of strong performances for Leverkusen.
United scouts have watched him in the Bundesliga and for his country, where he has played in midfield and at right back.
Bayern Munich tried to sign Bender in the summer but Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voeller is reluctant to sell any of his star players.
