Lionel Messi receives Golden Boot award as Europe's top scorer

The Barcelona man picked up the Golden Boot award on Monday, recognition for scoring the most goals in Europe's domestic leagues last season.

Messi, 25, set a Spanish League record by scoring 50 goals in 2011-2012, beating Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo by 4 goals.

Messi dedicated his latest accolade to his teammates, saying 'it is a prize for scoring goals, but without my teammates I couldn't have scored them.'
