"...get used to life on Chelsea bench" - Roberto Di Matteo warns Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard has been told to get used to life on the Chelsea bench.

Boss Roberto Di Matteo warned the Blues ace, 34, he cannot expect to play every week.

Lamps has not started Chelsea’s last three games and is in the final year of his deal.

He was an unused sub in Saturday’s win at Arsenal but is set to return for tonight’s Champions League clash with Nordsjaelland.

Di Matteo said: “As much as no one likes to be on the bench, I hope Frank understands.

“I try to use the whole squad. It’s not just Frank who’s missed games.”
