Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini out for 3 weeks with knee injury
Everton will be without Marouane Fellaini for three weeks after the midfielder sustained a knee injury.
Fellaini reported for international duty with the Belgian national side despite picking up a knock in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League game against Wigan.
He underwent a scan and while there is no significant damage, the 24-year-old faces three weeks on the sidelines, which will rule him out of the international games against Serbia and Scotland as well as Everton’s upcoming matches against QPR and Liverpool.
“Fellaini suffered a small tear at the juncture of muscle and tendon in the knee. The injury was revealed during a scan,” a statement on the Belgian FA’s website read.
