First Lady, Patience Jonathan misdiagnosed by doctors at Aso Rock Villa?!

Following the mystery over First Lady Patience Jonathan's health, sources in the Presidency have confirmed that the competence of doctors attached to the Aso Rock Villa clinic have come under the spotlight.

The first lady is reportedly receiving medical attention abroad after doctors at the Villa apparently misdiagnosed her ailment. The federal government has, however, denied that she is sick, saying that her trip was a vacation.


It was gathered that the doctors had been treating Jonathan for food poisoning when in fact she had suffered a ruptured appendix, a medical condition that could result in septic shock and death.

Hospital sources at Horst Schmidt Klinik in Germany had said that the first lady successfully underwent an operation to remove the ruptured appendix and she had been placed on a course of antibiotics to treat a potentially serious infection.
