Policeman arrested for sodomy in Bauchi!

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a policeman for sodomising some children in the state.

The children were said to be between the ages of nine and 12.

The policeman was said to have been arrested at Kandahar area in Bauchi metropolis while performing the act.

It was learnt that he was arrested following complaints by the children that they were experiencing severe pains in their anus.

The complaints were said to have prompted the community to report the matter to police station which led to that arrest of the policeman.

The affected children were taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for treatment.

A senior official of ATBUTH, who spoke anonymously, said that about 10 children were brought to the Pediatric ward in the hospital by policemen, adding that were all treated and discharged.

State police Commissioner, Mohammed Ladan , who confirmed the development said it was being investigated.

Ladan said, “We have the report of the incident, a division was initially investigating the matter, but I have directed them to transfer the case to the state Criminal Investigation Department.

“The accused has been detained, we are investigating. Whatever the outcome of our investigation is, we will explain it to the public.”
