Manchester City eyes £35m-rated Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain
Roberto Mancini is looking to boost Manchester City's striking options by making a £35million bid for Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain.
City are in a three way battle for the Arsenal's Dutch striker Robin van Persie along with Manchester United and Juventus.
And now City are looking elsewhere with executive Brian Marwood keen on a move for Argentine striker Higuain instead.
Higuain has also been a target for Chelsea and Tottenham, but money-bags City have the spending power to blow them away.
Higuain struggled to hold down a first team place at Madrid last season and despite Jose Mourinho keen to keep the striker it seems Karim Benzema is ahead of him in the pecking order.
