Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young joins Celta Vigo on a season-long loan
Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young officially completes a season long loan move to Celta Vigo.
The South Korean international arrived at the Emirates Stadium a year ago and was considered something of an odd acquisition as many deemed the 27 year old as not up to the task of plying his trade with a side of Arsenal’s size, and so it has proved.
Arsene Wenger must clearly not have been all that impressed with the former Monaco man, handing him just 12 minutes of Premier League football last term before seeking to sell the striker at the earliest opportunity.
The loan deal to Celta Vigo may well include a possible clause to sign the striker on a permanent basis and either way it would seem unlikely that Park Chu-Young will return to the North London club.
The signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud will have further restricted Chu-Young’s involvement in first team affairs.
