25-year-old man arrested for raping 4-year-old girl in Oyo State

A 25-year- old man, Femi Owolabi, who allegedly raped a four- year-old girl was among suspected criminals paraded by the Oyo State Police Command, yesterday.

The suspect, who is being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan, allegedly committed the crime on July 30, 2012.


According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Clement Adoda, the mother of the victim, upon her discovery that the innocent girl had been defiled, reported at Agugu Police Division.

She was quoted by the police as saying that her little daughter came out of the suspect’s room with blood stain all over her legs.

“She reported further that on a closer observation, she discovered that the girl was bleeding profusely from her private part. On receipt of the report, detectives went after the suspect and got him apprehended.”
