The Adamawa Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Altine Daniel, confirmed the incident, saying that the policeman was killed on his way home after night duty in one of the banks in the area.
“He handed over to the officer on the morning shift at the bank around 5 a.m. He was on his way home when gunmen killed him by the riverside,” Daniel said, adding that investigation into the case was in progress.
